Would love to see more. I love old-school point-n-click adventure games. And I love this show, and it really lends itself well to games such as this.

Its a great game! Really well made. Only problem is that it is too short! Need a continuation asap :>

I have the Stranger Things Shirt, and my brother has all the posters.

This game was made for me <3

You deserve all the praise for this mate! Nice work!

I'm making a game boy version of the series!

That's awesome! Keep me updated man!

This is stupid why do u need to pay I might as well play Roblox

you shouldn’t have to pay if it’s asking for a price just enter 0.00

Pretty nice stuff, would definitely be interested in seeing more of the show in the same vein.

Thanks! We had a good time making it - can't believe this was a year ago now!

Love the game, I wish there was more!

Such an awesome little game! I really hope to see more of it in the future!

how do you make that cover?

I can't play the game in full resolution, I'm locked at 300x220 or something like that. There is no in-game menu , and there is no exit button so you are locked in the game if it plays fullscreen (something you cannot control neither)

You can change the resolution with the winsetup.exe utility - to exit, press ALT-X

Thing is, I'm on GNU/Linux. Thanks for the tip on how to exit the game.

Gotcha - isn't there a utility included in the Linux Package that should let you change options? If not, let me know and I'll ask my linux guy about it.

Well, I'm running my laptop at 1400x1050~, when the game starts it doesn't use that resolution but instead runs at 320x200~ and the rest of the area is black, there is no scaling or anything to use the full resolution of my laptop's screen.

Yeah, it should "upscale" the native res to fit your screen, and if not, there should be a utility to help it do that. I'll talk to my linux guy and see what's up. Thanks for letting me know.

You're welcome!

I love this show and the game's style fits it perfectly! Looking forward to any new updates for it! I also made a video for it! https://youtu.be/snTKUVecQOM

Hey all! Thanks for playing our game! If you liked it and would like to play more, let @Netflix know you like what we do.

Here is the full gameplay without commentary.

I hope the game will update in the future because it is very short. Good job anyway :)

Hi great game! Which framework etc. did you use for creating this game?

looks to me like adventure game studio

ahh - sure looks like it :-) thanks

Yep, I used AGS to create this.

Hi im a huge fan of your guys' work and was wondering if you could maybe make an episode 2, i love the game and so do my friends. i know its a lot to ask but its a really cool game and an episode 2 would be awesome!

Is this official or fanmade?

Fanmade

How would one change the defaultres through the configs? I would like to enable the windowed but I am not sure on how to change the res.

I press for dowload in my iPad but nothing....

Sorry, it's not supported for iPad at the moment. Just PC, Mac and Liunux.

Ok ill try in my pc. Thx for answering.

bruh really!? itch is for computers *facepalm*

Why does the game not work on my Dell laptop? I downloaded the exe one for windows and it'll play the music, then I'll hear the woods/outside audio, but my screen will be blank. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and it's still not working. I even tried installing the rar one and it still didn't work. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?

(-1)

try using the winsetup.exe utility that comes with it, and select run in a window... your laptop may have problems running things in fullscreen mode.

Hey guys, Thank you so much for this precious release. Do you think it'll be playable on android and portable device via ScummVm?

Thanks in advance for making everything like this and for free :D

Hey there - the game isn't actually written in SCUMM, so it won't run in ScummVM, but an android port of it is possible.

(+1)

You can run the game on Android straight up without modifications by using their Android game engine:

http://jjs.at/daily/

It will also work on iOS and PSP but those will require a bit more messing around to get working.

(+2)

Can confirm there's no virus with the download guys! Awesome little game, tons of nostalgia :) Check out my playthrough of it here!

Will there be updates to this game?

(+1)

Thanks for the video!

As for updates, we'll see.

I've never really played a game quite like this, but my first experience with it was pretty fantastic! I enjoyed the short story you had and it really makes me wanna watch the series on Netflix! Fantastic job and I really hope that there will be more in the future because I'd love to play the full series while watching it as well! Keep up the great work guys! I made a little let's play of the game that I hope anyone interested will take a look at!

=< https://youtu.be/NgfqeFpzP0g >= Thank you, and enjoy!

Thanks Rob!! You're awesome.

Thanks for watching! I can't wait for there to be more! Please keep me updated so I can play the full version when it's done!

I'm definitely interested in playing this game but I ran the v1.0 exe through VirusTotal (SHA256: f8c53cb9cf976bcfa5e71f448b69f509b227a9ab02e82f1ca62b151586bbc78c) and the site returned 2 detections (Trojan.VBKrypt.Win32.249497). Don't want to see you guys get blamed for an awesome idea that I want to see developed into a full fledged game but yeah, probably should take a look at and patch. Goodluck!

Yep, sometimes it runs false positives, but there's no virus on it. It's just a self-extracting ZIP which can trigger some programs. There's also a plain old .rar for windows too, it's just below the .exe - the exe is for non-savvy windows users.

Excellent work! Hard to believe you guys put this together in only a couple weeks :)

(+1)

Great potential with this, love the style and look forward to seeing more! - Ran fine on Mac OSx 10.11.6 (MBP 13-inch, Mid 2012) - 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 with Iten HD Graphics 4000. :)

Thank you! And thanks for your stats, that's good to know!

(+1)

This needs to be a full game! Its great!

Also, is there a way to get the screen bigger? I have to literally sit on top of my monitor so see the text.. ?! :)

Try using the winsetup utility that comes with it. (Windows version)

(+1)

i would like to translate in italian language you game, please leave me a feedback if interested :)

PS: good work guys!

Bug? Im not able to close the game without it crashing or freezing my pc and I have to close it by ctrl alt del.

Yeah, I have it too :(

Press ALT-X to force quit (worst Jedi power ever) or ctrl-q to bring up the quit GUI

(+1)

This looks great!

(+1)

Thanks for making this, it's great! Point and click pixel art style game is the perfect fit for this show. Any thoughts on continuing or adding to this? Cheers again :)

Well, if given an official opportunity to, we'd like to continue/further develop this kind of game.
